Dr. Gustavo Dalmarco is a space industry expert and enthusiast, specialising in technology transfer and adoption activities. He holds a PhD in Technology Management and Innovation, and is currently a researcher at INESC TEC, Portugal. He is engaged in the development of technology adoption strategies, focusing on R&D projects related to Space and IT.
Gustavo originally studied Mechatronics Engineering, gaining a BSc in this area, and was for many years responsible for the development of biomedical equipment at the Microgravity Centre, a Brazilian space physiology research centre.
He was a visiting researcher at the technology transfer office of the European Space Agency (ESA), analysing the characteristics of technology transfer and entrepreneurship in the aerospace industry. He was also responsible for the development and organisation of the Brazilian edition of Act in Space, a Hackathon based on the use of space technologies for non-space activities.
